Clear Creek Valley Park is a new park that is packed full of amenities. Hidden just a few miles from I-76 and Sheridan, you pull into the parking lot and are greeted with a beautiful community garden. As you make your way towards the direction of the park, there is a lake situated right ahead as well as a nice bathroom facility. A warm up/work out station is at the start of the trail leading to the park.
The park itself has several distinct play areas. At the far end, is a large 3 story jungle gym for 5-12 year old's that includes rope bridges and a large slide. Its design resembles a tree house. Next to it a standard size swing set with 4 swings and a spinner.
At the west side of the park is a smaller playground for 2-5 year old's. I tend to find the smaller playgrounds lacking, however, I was thoroughly impressed with this one. IT is full of hills, a mini house, slides, baby swings and some fun features such as little bugs to climb on, a watering can to climb in and red pepper chairs.
The two play structures are connected by a water play area. There are 3 pump stations, one of which feeds a little river with dividers to hold the water. There is also a large sandbox that tractor tires to climb and fill.
The park has three covered pavilions with tables. They are situated close to all of the play areas making it a nice spot to set up your base camp. To the north of the playground is a large field with trains running on the far side. A bonus for any little train lover like my son. The lake is to the south but is bordered with a fence so your little one can not decide to turn your trip into a swimming adventure.
